Do I need to have studied Mathematics in graduation?
You must have Mathematics as a subject either at 10+2 level OR in your UG degree. B.Sc. Maths, BCA with Maths, or B.Tech holders typically qualify.
What is a good NIMCET rank?
Under AIR 500 is generally sufficient for NIT Trichy or NIT Warangal MCA. AIR 1000 gives options at most participating NITs. AIR 2000+ is borderline.
Is there a separate counselling for NIMCET?
Yes. NIMCET has a centralized online counselling process where you can fill preferences for all 10 NITs and seats are allotted based on AIR and category.
What is the MCA program duration at NITs?
MCA at NITs is a 3-year (6-semester) full-time program. Some NITs offer specializations in AI/ML, Data Science, and Cyber Security.
